Truckee, CA is right off of I-80. Our store is very close to a huge assortment of high quality Sierra ski touring destinations that we have outlined on our website. We are also within 5 miles of Sugar Bowl, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, and Northstar Ski Areas. We are only 30 minutes from Reno Airport.

We take reservations only one day in advance. It is hard to estimate when the previous person will come back sometimes. Our equipment is "usually' only gone for one day.

$25 - Telemark Skis Various modern tele bindings on the best skis
$30 - Randonnee (AT) Alpine Touring Skis Fritchi Bindings
$15 - Ski Boots for Telemark and AT, mostly from Garmont and Scarpa
$5 - Ski Poles Adjustable or fixed length.
$10 - Climbing Skins We'll do our best to match your ski dimensions, but don't expect a perfect match
$10 - Avalanche Transceiver We Cannot test avy beacons, and sometimes there are no batteries. We use BCA Trackers. It's best to buy your own beacon
$5 - Avalanche Probe These are not tested in-between each use, check them out before you leave the store.
$5 - Avalanche Shovel
$5 - backpack We have a few day packs, but they get pretty beat up in rental. We stock a HUGE assortment of new packs for sale
$15 - Alpine Trekker Touring Adapter We have a few, but don't recommend them. You won't enjoy touring in your heavy alpine ski gear, or dealing with these honestly.
$12 - Boot Crampons Going to the high, steep places like Mt. Shasta or the High Sierra's East Side? Crampons help you make the summit

Split Snowboarding Gear
$50 - Split Snowboard with skins Bring your binding and we will help you install it. It can take up to 30 minutes to get snowboard bindings set in a stance you are happy with. Don't rent a splitboard to see if they work, just buy one. Splitboards are much better than snowshoeing, unless you just have a short hike above the car. We only have a few as well, so please don't count on them being there. Of course we rent snowshoes in case you fail to reserve in time.

$20 - NNNbc XC Touring Ski Package NNNbc boots and bindings on lightweight waxless skis. Fairly straight skis with edges
$30 - 3-pin XC Touring Ski Package Leather or plastic telemark boots. Voile HD 3-pin binding on beefy, metal edge, slightly shaped waxless skis
$8 - NNNbc XC Touring Boots Alpina NNNbc boots only work if you have NNNbc style bindings
$12 - NNNbc XC Touring Skis Only work with NNNbc style boots
$15 - leather or plastic 3-pin 75mm boots
$15 - 3-pin XC Touring Skis Beefy, full metal edge, and slightly shaped for turning. Alpina Cross Terrain and Karhu Guides

$8 - Child Snowshoes High Quality snowshoes from Tubbs. Kids don't get that far, but they enjoy it
