It's been over 5 years since we combined our two stores into our Truckee location, although we continue to rent bikes, paddleboards, and kayaks in the parking lot all summer.

We added Gear & Grind Cafe, owned by spirited local and great backcountry athlete Lizet Christiansen. Then we were lucky to have Clearwater Day Spa move in upstairs, run by long time locals Corey and Ned Riley.

And NOW we have kick ASS sushi by Vanessa Fiedler, who has done this for most of her life. She and her super fun husband Rich just moved up to Tahoe City from the foothills and their Tahoe City Sushi Restaurant is in full swing. This is the real thing folks, and for a reasonable price. Thanks for coming in to help these great businesses make it.

One of my favorites is the Sumoa Roll. Also go straight for the Tsunami roll. Poke Roll is another really good one. Everything is fantastic and of course she can make you whatever you want.

Right alongside the sushi restaurant is Gear & Grind Cafe. They have great coffee, sandwiches, and Tahoe Creamery Ice Cream as well as some other deserts.
