Successful summit of Mt Rainier June 22! After amazing ski descent from Camp Muir @ 10,000 ft. and two days of hiking/skinning in my AT Boots, I popped off my boots back at parking lot and headed out. Normally after a long day of skiing, my toes are pretty numb, I guess I just have easily compressed nerves in my feet but it usually goes away within 15 minutes after taking my boots off. This time though, I still can't feel the big toe (plus next 3) and bottom of my left foot, 2 days later and not improving! Besides the obvious "see a doctor" any words of wisdom from experience with this? Am i just going to be without feeling of my left foot for a few months (years?) or what? I had the boots cooked and fitted and they felt great otherwise, not sure what to do about this though!? Thanks!

can't speak to what your feed need, but the boots probably need a better footbed, possibly thinner in the front, and some boot stretching for extra toe length. Although some boot fitters would say these tools aren't for those type of boots, I've stretched everything from climbing shoes to running shoes to mountaineering boots like these. It's the boots obviously, not your walking technique.
