6-8 feet on the south east slopes we skied. High winds out on the upper treeless slopes have created huge drifts we didn't trust, so we sessioned the lower half.

Totally epic conditions on Knob Jr this morning, did 5 perfect laps for around 5300 vertical and still made it to class on time after getting tamales at the galena market. conditions are fat, a few rocks came into play but perfect post storm powder skiing was the name of the game. Sun came out as I dropped in 4 out of 5 times. Seeeyick. East gully and the associated buttress chutes were super bomber, northeastern trees were stellar, and even the top 400' of the south face was awesome thick powpow. Lots of fun boulders to jump around on!

great soft snow all day today on Rose Knob Jr. Parked at the dead end on Jennifer Street off of Mt. Rose Hwy 431.

Pretty skied out right now, but amazing views. An easy 2000' climb, but bring the fat skis and be careful. Someone really needs to drive a groomer from Diamond Peak over there to smooth it all out again.

Second day in a row skiing with wife and dog. Damn, kids must be in school or something.

Like pretty much everyone else, I traversed back to the trees to avoid the bottom of this steep gully. It's real ugly at the bottom no matter how you cut it, but there is no reason to look for trouble in a terrain trap like this.

Awesome pow on protected aspects. Talus zone below the chutes a bit heads up, and fairly dust on crusty in the chutes but blower ere'where elze.
