SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM FOR MOST RECENT THREAD

What a day! Tracks seem to get filled in every day or two. Boot deep soft cold snow everywhere. Today we went up Maggies, down the Dogleg Couloir, and up to the ridge between Tallac and Dick's.

Bring a new friend next time you go backcountry skiing

Hire these guys to build your next property out. Scott's your man for Excavating, Don is your General Contractor, and John will landscape the heck out of it. I'll fill the garage with outdoor gear I guess.

The Dogleg was in good shape to ski today with no tracks. We skidded around some to move all the new snow down the chute for extra safety. This run is just steep enough for a reliable sluff train you don't want any part of. Any warmer and it could have grown out of control too. There are a lot of things that can go wrong skiing this line, be careful.

Some beautiful tracks on Janine Ridge near the high point

We skied this terrain a few days ago above the north end of Azure Lake. This is the north end of the Janine Ridge, behind Maggies Peak.

Snow is so good right now, low angle is just as fun

North side of Echo Peak, aka Hall of Gods Couloirs or Indian Rock. I had a great day there last week in similair conditions.

Haha, love the thread title. So, is this gonna be an ongoing thread for the year?

Nice outing Mike. I skied that Janine's ridge line right down to Azure Lake on Mother's Day last year. Serious bushwacking required in May - so your trip on snow looked much more pleasant. But the skiing was fantastic out there.
No more TR's for me this year. Blew out the ACL and a few other things about 3 weeks ago just when this the powder cycle started. 4 hours of surgery + 6 weeks on crutches + 6 months of PT should put me back in action by August 1st. But of course the snow will be gone. Regardless, I'll be motivating my recovery by visiting this site often so please keep the TR's coming.
