Seeking BC partners - South Lake / Luther / Carson / Kwood

Postby bobmohan » Thu Dec 20, 2007 10:18 am

Hello - I'm a tele skier looking for experienced skiers/boarders to tour with in the Tahoe area. I'll be in around during the holidays and future weekends. Give me a shout if you'd like to add one to your group or if you are also solo.

Happy Holidays,

I would be happy to join you on tours. I tele and AT depending on my mood I guess. I am located in Meyers (South Shore). My availability is pretty good. I usually have Fri and Sat off from work. Otherwise, I work swing shift so as long as I'm home for 2 or 3pm I'm good. I am fairly new (started last year) to backcountry skiing but I hope this will not be a problem for you. I'm in good physical shape and have solid skiing skills. In addition, I have taken an Avy 1 course and study from snow science books like it's my job. I am confident with transceiver use. I have a well behaved dog that would love to join us if you're not opposed. If you're interested, give me a shout. Hope to hear from you. -Sean-

2-night tour somewhere, pending snow/avy conditions.
Eager to visit high peaks of Desolation Wilderness,
Matterhorn Peak area, or anywhere else someone wants to go.
Finally got back into long trips with a 4-nighter to the
Minarets last spring. Driving from Davis, down in the
Central Valley near Sacto.

Tahoe BC Partner

I live between Alpine Meadows and Sacramento and would love to join in some BC fun. The Kirkwood/carson pass sounds great. I'm also interested in an overnight tour in Desolation Wilderness. I have climbed most of the tallest peaks in Desolation during the summer months and would love to do it in the winter. My schedule is very flexible right now.
